BUSINESS ARISING
YARRA RANGES LOGO
Yarra ranges logo has been forwarded to natocom for approval. We should
know within a few days whether the logo has received natcom approval. Steve
will follow it up with NATCOM. Before we can get a price for the logo,
we need to have quantities.
ACTION; STEVE
Need prices for tshirts, vests, polo, cloth badge. Sylvia to include details
in email to members, with Davids email address and yarraranges for expressions
of interest in purchases.

Leigh has looked at printing out some stickers and priced them, approx $520 plus GST for 250 multicolour, single colour about $250 plus GST for 250.
Thank you to all those involved in the design of the logo, everyones input was much appreciated.
POKER RUN IN DECEMBER
Discussion took place around what to charge for the entry fee for the poker
run that Steve will be leading in December. $5.00 entry fee which will
be put towards some prizes at the end of the day.
NEWSLETTER NAME
Suggestions have been, Yarra Views, Yarra Ranges Ramblings, Ranger Riders, Skid
Marks, Echo, Valley Views, Yarra Ranges Bent Forks, Yarra Ranges Burnt Rubber,
Passing Winds, Side Tracks,
To be voted on at the next social night.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
PRESIDENTS
RIDE ATTENDANCE
Committee has decided that a ride attendance prize to the person who attends
the most ride will be
considered next year. For the time being we need more ride leaders.
The Club has been well supported and progress is good however.
Seem to be getting four or five new people for the mailing list each week. We have 90 on the mailing list at the moment and continuing to grow.
EMAILS
Emails have been received. General enquiries about joining the group,
COMMITTEE BADGES
Discussion took place around the possibility of Committee members having Committee
badges. Decided we did not need committee badges.
NEWSLETTER
Offer of help from Dierdrie with the newsletter. Steve to contact her
regarding what help she can offer.

TREASURER
Bank balance is looking pretty good considering the newness of the club. Balance
as at 17/8/03. $319.45. have to pay for some more badges from the
account however.
SECRETARY
Sylvia has received an email offering a document with the locations of cameras.
The document is to be put on our web page
ACTION ERIC
An email was received offering accommodation for the Grand Prix at Phillip Island.
Details will be included in the email with the minutes and a copy will
be placed on the notice board.

EMAILS FOR DISTRIBUTION
Anyone who has information that is to be included in the email that is distributed
with the minutes should notify Sylvia if they have any details, aim is to minimise
the number of emails being sent.
QUARTERMASTER
David advised the Committee that people are starting to make enquiries about
orders.
STOCK
David suggested that we buy some basic items for stock. David to ring
Bob Munroe for ideas on what is in highest demand.

Some badges have yet to be picked up, David will mail the remainder out.
SOCIAL COORDINATOR
XMAS DINNER DANCE
Garry and Chris will enquire as to whether they will provide the Xmas decorations
at the Bird and Bottle. Xmas has been booked for the 5th December. It
is a Friday because no other nights were available. 7pm for pre dinner drinks,
Meal to be served at 8 pm
Can get a DJ, who normally charges $350 however, will do it for $250 for
the night. The evening will cost about $25 for the night but will have
to be payable in advance of the night. It includes a Xmas dinner from
a choice, a DJ and a door prize. DJ to be booked.

RAFFLES
To date we have been relying on donations, however, when the kitty looks better
we will be able to buy items for the Raffle.
Committee expressed appreciation to the following for their support for our Raffles
Bike mart, Ringwood
Melba Honda Ringood,
Treads and Things in ringwood.
AUCTION
Aim for an auction around mid year next year. Anybody who has something
to donate or would like to sell something at the Auction for a small donation
to the club for the night, please keep this night in mind.
CPR
Chris to contact St. Johns regarding CPR demo for a social night
YARRA RANGES - MARK MCQUIRE
Training day, Attending the next social night.
MEALS FOR GUEST SPEAKERS
Discussion took place around whether or not the group should supply guest speakers
with a free meal. It was decided that for Non-profit guest speakers the
meal would be paid for, however, if they are promoting products for sale they
can be responsible for their own meal.
RIDE COORDINATOR
Trevor submitted a leaflet promoting moulded earplugs for individuals to purchase.
Concern was raised as to the safety of the plugs in light of a Ulysses
member being advised by a audiologist that if not properly moulded can in fact
be dangerous. Trevor is to followup the qualifications of this supplier
before passing the information on.
GENERAL BUSINESS
TOY RUN
Leigh suggested that we organise a ride for the toy run leaving from Yarra Glen.
Details to be advised.
